Caitlin Kaczowka
Food Skills and Nutrition Educator
Caitlin is a Registered Dietitian who graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2017 with her BSc in Nutrition. Since then, she has gained experience in various areas of dietetics, including long term care, community counselling, and school nutrition education.
Caitlin also completed a Bachelor of Health Science in Biomedical Science from the University of Calgary in 2012. It was here where she found her interest in nutrition, which was further solidified when she spent a year at the University of Hong Kong, taking courses on nutritional science and functional foods. Caitlin’s interest areas include childhood eating competence, sport nutrition, and gut health and the microbiome. Caitlin is thrilled to be part of Poppy Innovations because seeing her students try new foods, explore kitchen skills, and get their hands in the garden is so important to raising the next generation of healthy kids.
Outside of this, Caitlin can be found playing soccer, trying new sports like inner tube water polo, or tending to her numerous houseplants and her summertime container garden!
