  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup baking cocoa
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 4 cups not less than a 2% milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup dark chocolate baking chips
  • winter fruits: oranges apples, pears, kiwi

  • In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt. Slowly pour in milk to saucepan, while whisking vigorously. Bring to a boil over medium heat (not too hot or your milk will burn). Boil for ~5-10 minutes, or until pudding starts to thicken.
  • Remove from heat, stir in butter, vanilla and dark chocolate baking chips.
  • Pour pudding into individual serving dishes, and chill until serving.
  • Enjoy with cut up selection of winter fruit peeled and sliced into wedges.

The fruit wedges are perfect for dipping into the pudding. The combination of smooth, rich chocolate and juicy bit of fruit is purely delicious.
