Food Skills and Nutrition Educator
Erin is Registered Dietitian in Calgary, AB. She graduated from the University of Alberta in 2012 with a BSc. in Nutrition. During her degree she also completed her Dietetic Internship in Central and Northern Alberta. Since then Erin has worked as a dietitian in outpatient clinics and community settings. She specializes in diabetes, weight management, mindful eating, and meal planning.
Erin loves spending time in the kitchen and believes in the power of a good meal with good people. She enjoys learning about new cooking techniques and ingredients and has completed cooking courses in Thailand, Laos, Peru, Italy, as well as in Calgary at SAIT. She also has a love of cookbooks and a collection to prove it. However, her favourite recipes will always be those of her Mom’s and Grandma’s (chicken pot pie and gingersnap cookies to be exact).
Teaching with Poppy Innovations allows Erin to share her passion for delicious food and nutrition. In her classes she strives to empower children and families with the skills they need to create positive (and fun!) relationships with food, cooking, and eating together!
