Lauren Hardy is a Certified Holistic Nutritional Consultant, in Calgary AB. She graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in 2017. Being a Holistic practitioner allows her to recognize the individual biochemistry of each person, as well as the body, mind and spirit as a whole. She works with whole foods and lifestyle recommendations to rebalance body systems, and reduce symptoms. She specializes in plant based nutrition and cooking. Lauren has been practicing a plant based lifestyle herself for over 15 years, and you can often find her in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes.
Lauren’s inspiration to educate children about food came from the popular chef Jamie Oliver’s series, that showcased the reality of school lunches and nutrition. It was alarming, and she knew the best way to educate was hands on. She feels it is very important for children at an early age to develop a positive relationship with food, and understand the importance of growing and eating local and seasonal whole foods. She is excited to be apart of the Poppy Innovations team to start sharing her knowledge and get more kids excited about food and cooking.
Besides cooking and sharing recipes, Lauren loves hot yoga, travelling, and days spent exploring and hiking the mountains. She is born and raised in Manitoba, and loves going back to visit family, friends and lakes. Lauren loves animals, and recently adopted a shitzu/yorkie named Daisy.
