Calgary’s source for farm-fresh foods and free entertainment. Located just off of Blackfoot Trail and Heritage Drive, the Calgary Farmers’ Market was built to be a family friendly, dynamic place for community engagement, with over 80 vendors supplying customers with fresh local produce, art, meat, poultry, international food, organic goods , jewelry and more.

VIVO for Healthier GenerationsCampus Calgary/Open Minds is an innovative curriculum-based program that moves the classroom into the community for an entire week.  Vivo for Healthier Generations provides Healthy Living School where classroom teachers work closely with community experts to custom design a week that meets individual needs.  Through a holistic approach to well-being, students will discover a sense of self that builds strong communities and sparks a lifelong commitment to improving quality of life.

With the support of Ag for Life and Agriculture in the Classroom Saskatchewan, the Calgary Zoo’s Little Green Thumbs program gives students an opportunity to become food produces right in their own classroom.  As students actively cooperate to care for their garden, they learn about nutrition, environmental stewardship, sustainable food systems and community interdependence.
