Nut Free Bites
Looking for a recipe for school lunches or gatherings with people with various food sensitivities? These Nut Free Bites are delicious for everyone and easy for kids to make.
- 2 cup quick oats GF if needed
- ⅔ cup ground flax
- 1 cup sunflower seed butter sunbutter
- ½ cup maple syrup or honey
- ¼ cup sunflower seeds
- ¼ cup chocolate chips
Place the oats and flax meal in a medium sized bowl. Stir to combine. Add the seed butter and maple syrup and stir to combine. Stir in the sunflower seeds and chocolate chips. This mixture should form a dough that's easy to form into balls that stick together. If the mixture seems too dry, add a splash more maple syrup, or add a drizzle of coconut oil.
Using a small cookie scoop or tablespoon, roll the dough into balls. Refrigerate until ready to eat.
